In case you got a little busy over the holidays, like us, and didn't make it out the Dallas Arboretum you can still catch the 12 Days of Christmas Holiday displays. Better hurry though as it only runs through January 4th (this weekend). Granted you will have to bundle up or some colder temperatures forecasted for this week, but if you need to stretch the holiday season a little bit farther this may be worth your time.
The displays are a series of decorative, glass enclosed gazebos placed throughout the gardens with each representing one of the 12 days of Christmas. Each has its own style and holiday music playing and several of them have mechanical parts that bring the figures to life.
It takes about 30 minutes to make the walk around each of the gazebos that start in the Jonsson Color Garden streth up through the Women's Garden into the Red Maple Rill and then back toward the Visitor's Entrance.
Normal ticket prices are $12 for members/$15 for non-members. Also note that they do have a buy one, get one free ticket entry after 7:30 pm which was a good time for us as the crowds were a little lighter. The pavilions are beautiful during the day, but have that little extra holiday spirit after dark. Bundle ups and grab a warm beverage as you enter to make the walk a little more enjoyable. In case you don't make it out, here are some photos of the displays.
