Plant Description
Vitex tree, also commonly known as Chaste Tree, is an attractive, ornamental tree with striking purple blooms from summer until fall. Vitex prefers full sun, ranges in size from 10-25' tall and can spread up to 25' and can also be used as a shrub growing full to ground.
It shows resistance to drought and has average water needs and requires periodic pruning. It has a rapid growth rate and has brown bark. It may cause allergy or irritation if touched, so a precaution is required while handling it.
